Lydia and Blake met online on December 17th, 2023. Lydia's friends made her a dating profile as a form of entertainment, but she was not interested in dating anyone... until she saw that Blake had SuperSwiped her. She messaged him, and they immediately hit it off. They planned a date that same week. Blake came to her house to pick her up, knocked on her door, brought a gift, bought her dinner, took her back home, and walked her to the door. He was a perfect gentleman.

After their first date they knew they wanted to see each other again, but they knew it would be awhile with the upcoming holidays and vacations. Blake came to see Lydia at her Church's Christmas Eve service, 2 days after their first date, and hung out with her and her friends afterwards. All of her friends loved him, and they both knew this relationship would become something more. In fact, Blake says now that he knew he was going to marry Lydia. Lydia wasn’t so sure yet, but she knew Blake was different!

After Lydia got back from her vacation to New York and Canada, her and Blake became inseparable. Blake begged Lydia to meet his parents, so she agreed with some hesitations. It was still early in their relationship, but she was glad she agreed to meet them. She LOVED Blakes parents! Blake then begged to meet Lydia's parents. This took much more convincing, but she finally agreed and Blake and her parents hit it off as well!

They began to really invest in their relationship with each other. They had hard conversations early on about all things relationship and marriage. They set boundaries, talked about the future, and began to intentionally love each other and grow closer together as they grew in their relationship with Christ. They knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with one another pretty early on, hence the fast engagement!
